Pray Specifically for Secret Believers
Each person in Secret Believers represents one or more real individuals. Please pray for them.

For Ahmed, Mustafa, and Hassan: for all the Muslims who are coming to faith in Christ, often at great personal cost.

For St. Mark's in Suq Al Khamis and Al Waha Church: for all the churches they represent throughout the Middle East and the Muslim world.

For Butros, Pastor Yusef, and Abuna Alexander: for all those who lead congregations, that they will be faithful to the call of God to strengthen the church in the Muslim world.

For Kareem and Kamal: they represent Muslims all over the world, many in high places, who are seekers of the Truth about God. Pray they will have their questions answered. Pray they will obtain a copy of the Scriptures. Pray they will meet a person who is filled with the love of Jesus.

For Salima, Nadira, and Nour: For the wives of church leaders who faithfully support their husbands and are vital to the health of the Church. Pray for strong marriages and families. Pray also for the single women who are MBBs, that they will stay strong in their faith and that God will provide their needs for a husband and family.

For Layla: Sadly many Christian women like Layla are kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam. Many are forced to marry a Muslim man and work as virtual slaves. Pray that this practice will end. Pray for strength for the women who are so trapped. And pray for their families that they will confront the anger in their lives and offer forgiveness rather than revenge.

For any other person named or unnamed in the book: Each one represents real people who need our prayers.

January Prayer Emphasis:

Afghanistan

Please pray for the country of Afghanistan as many people are facing hunger, malnutrition and disease after a severe drought in 2011 wiped out 80% of their crops. Food prices almost doubled. Families are being forced to skip meals, borrow money or migrate. Children could die because they do not get enough to eat.

Keep praying for the miracle of peace as the country has seen so much violence and war over the last decades. Everyone is suffering from trauma. Pray that the hearts of leaders of warring factions will be influenced towards a peaceful coexistence.

Pray for the believers in the country that they may have a positive influence on society and use opportunities to share God's love with the people around them.

Please pray specifically for those who are involved in the follow up of Christian radio and TV programs. This is an area of intense spiritual warfare; there are often verbal assaults. One team member said, "We never get discouraged when people swear at us. We get discouraged when people ask us for Bibles and we can't give them one."
