Followers of Christ are one body. The Bible teaches that wherever one Christian faces persecution, all believers have the duty to stand up and support their brothers and sisters in Christ. Because they believe the teachings of Jesus, persecuted Christians around the world face risk of imprisonment, loss of home, torture, rape and death.
Yet despite these very real threats, these believers are supported through their faith and the worldwide family of Christians.

Open Doors is a community of Christians who come together to support persecuted believers in more than 60 countries. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization, with more than 60 years of experience and a long track record of financial integrity.
With bold beginnings, Brother Andrew—a man from the Netherlands—launched our ministry by smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain at the height of the Cold War. As captured in his well-known book, God’s Smuggler, Brother Andrew took great risks to sneak God’s Word into communist countries during this tumultuous time. He did so with a sense of faithful courage, believing that his faith in Jesus was worth every danger he faced.
Though the world has changed, modern Christians around the world are still persecuted. In some countries their faith is punishable by law, forcing these Secret Believers underground to avoid harsh penalties, abuse or even death. Following Brother Andrew’s legacy, Open Doors continues to support these Christians suffering in hostile areas while continually working to fight persecution around the world.
With your support, you can join us in following Brother Andrew’s legacy and bring the Scriptures, food relief, safe houses, legal help and so much more to your persecuted family around the world.
